Inverse Press is currently funding our next comic project via Kickstarter.com:

Eyes of the Hurricane is a 20-page, one-shot story of our friend, Roberto Acosta, and his encounter with a hummingbird during 2004's Hurricane Ivan, a storm that ravaged much of the Florida and Alabama Gulf Coast!  Adapting Roberto's story to comic form are Inverse founders, Kevin LaPorte (script) and Amanda Rachels (art).  The story tells of what Roberto imagined must've been the hummingbird's motivation for being out and about in the eye of an actual hurricane - it was seeking help for its keepers, a tiny race of hidden people living quietly in the South Alabama swamplands...

Rewards for backing Eyes of the Hurricane on Kickstarter include:

  • Opportunities to be depicted by Amanda Rachels as a character in the book OR even on the cover!
  • Custom art commissions from Amanda!
  • Ad space in the book, to promote YOUR comic project or other business!
  • The chance to be designated a Premier Backer, complete with a credit on the inside front cover of the book!

Successful funding of this project will allow us to print an initial run of this title and get it into the public eye.  We need your help!  Please back the campaign or share the campaign link:  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/laporte/eyes-of-the-hurricane-surviving-the-storm-and-life
